I Played a variety of indie games at this years Eurogamer event and Poncho was one of these. The game is a platformer in which the main character Poncho is searching to find his maker. The most interesting thing about the game was the mechanic which allows you to shift backwards and forwards between the background, foreground and middle layers of the games world, the inclusion of this mechanic makes the game different to a lot of other games in the same genre and also adds another interesting layer to the overall gameplay, the mechanic takes a little bit of time to get used too but once you do you quickly find yourself jumping backwards and forwards between the three layers in the world and being able to explore all that the world has to offer. Everything You Need to Walk into the Shadow of Mordor

With the release of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor only a week off for most platforms, a new video from Warner has been released detailing everything you need to know before you dive into the game. The trailer provides an in-depth look at the Shadow of Mordor’s characters, storyline, pre-order bonus offers and the innovative Nemesis System. Players will learn about Talion and Celebrimbor’s journey of retribution and revenge. The PC, Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will be released on September 30th in North America with an October 3rd release in Europe. For those of you who are not on the next-gen systems yet, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will be released on November 18th in North America and November 21st in Europe.

Skyshine Games Kickstarter for BEDLAM Launched Today

Welcome to the BEDLAM… Welcome to the apocalypse. Independent studio Skyshine Games are set to use Stoic’s, The Banner Saga Engine to create a post-apocalyptic role-playing strategy game. In BEDLAM, humanity has survived through the collapse of a society, after mankind reached its peak, known as the Barren Age. Civilization has now reemerged from the rubble in isolated cities like Byzantine. Though advanced, overcrowding, class warfare and crime. Bedlam sends the user out of Byzantine into the BEDLAM in the Dozer to find the utopia Aztec City. The Kickstarter Campaign launched today in an effort to raise $130,000 to help develop the game. When I wrote this article, $7,058 have already been pledged to the project. For a pledge of $15 a digital copy of the game is offered and a few early bird offers are still on the table.
